Louise Wallace
Professor Louise Wallace is lay non-executive member (Public and Patient Involvement) for Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group. Prior to this, she had non executive roles in Primary Care NHS trusts in Warwickshire and Coventry since 2002, and was a non-executive director for the Department for Education and Employment on the Board of Investors in People (UK) Limited for three years from 1997. She was a Trustee of Banbury Carers’ Centre.
Professor Wallace has worked as a consultant clinical psychologist in the NHS, and as a NHS General Manager in teaching hospitals in Birmingham, and was Chief Executive of the Horton General Hospital NHS trust before becoming Professor of Health Psychology at Coventry University until 2015. She is a part-time Professor at the Open University and Visiting Professor at the University of Dundee. She has conducted health services research for more than three decades. Her research aims to improve the management and safety of health services, and the promotion of health and well-being. She is a part time Senior Scientific Advisor to the National Institutes of Health Research, via Southampton University. She was appointed a NED/Trustee of the UK Public Health Register in 2015. She is is a Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Chartered Psychologist.
