Gillian Jones
Gill qualified in dentistry from Kings College London in 1975 and worked in the Hospital Dental Service, General Dental Practice and the Community Dental Service as a Senior Dental Officer (Special Needs) before becoming a Consultant and Director of Dental Public Health in Gwent in 1993. Her responsibilities included Postgraduate Adviser for Wales for Community Dentistry and DCPs from 1989 to 1996 and she was appointed as Director of the Training and Education Centre for DCPs in Cardiff Dental School in 2002. Gill’s final appointment was Director of Undergraduate Dental Studies in the Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry, where she worked until retirement in 2017. Gill was then appointed as a GDC Education Associate and as a Board Trustee for the NEBDN and has recently taken on the role of UKPHR Registrar.
