James Maughan

James qualified from Newcastle Dental School in 2010 with Merit in clinical dentistry. He completed his vocational training in the Northern Deanery, before working as a Maxillofacial SHO, and then moved into general practice where he worked primarily as an NHS associate. After completing his membership examinations to the Royal Colleague of Surgeons of Edinburgh, he moved to Australia for a time, where he practiced primarily private dentistry. On return he has been a clinical lead, a mentor for dentists applying to the register and now practices privately with a minimal NHS contract. Recently he has returned to university where he is studying Dental Law and Ethics
